Treetops Studio, Bright and Roomy in Fitzroy North

You will feel as if in the midst of a mini green paradise with the tree views from this spacious, light-filled studio. Access is via a new pedestrian back gate and spiral stairs that lead up from the tranquil garden to your private balcony. Inside there is a large light filled studio where a pleasing blend of blue and yellow notes predominate.

This large studio apartment was part of our family home. We love the house and the location and hope that you will too. We also rent the house when we are not home.

The large room is upstairs at the back of the house and gets plenty of light and looks out onto a lovely garden. You can eat indoors or out of doors (there is a table on the private west facing balcony). The garden is shared with the downstairs tenants.

The TV is connected to cable TV (Foxtel) including sport channels.

The room has a reverse cycle air conditioning which provides heating and cooling to the entire studio space.

When you arrive you will need to come to the front porch of the house to pick up your key. After that access is via a gate at the rear of the house, and the external staircase.

Of course Wi-Fi is available.

You will have full use of the studio apartment. The back garden is shared with the house downstairs.

This studio is on a tree-lined street in North Fitzroy. It's close to the city and trams and has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. It's also an easy walk to a great supermarket, a natural food store, a library, a gym, and plenty of cafes and restaurants. It is also close to lovely Edinburgh Gardens and plenty of bike paths.

The city is about 4 kms away. There are great bikes paths if you want to cycle and we are close to 2 tram stops with regular services that take about 15 minutes into town. The 11 tram goes down Brunswick Street past the renowned restaurant strip and through the city on Collins Street and then down to Docklands. The 96 goes along Nicholson Street past the Exhibition Buildings and Carlton Gardens, through the city along Bourke Street and then along Spencer Street past Crown Casino. It then becomes light rail and passes the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC), South Melbourne Markets and then travels to St Kilda passing along the Esplanade and Ackland St.

There are lots of interconnections to other trams, trains and buses to get you where you need to go.

Our house is about 25 minutes drive to the airport depending on traffic. Or you can catch skybus to Southern Cross Station and then catch the 96 tram here.

@ The door between the house and the Studio cannot be unlocked.

@ We recently upgraded the air conditioning/heat pump for quieter and more efficient heating and cooling.

@ Between November and April there may be a parking permit available. At other times there is restricted street parking: There is free parking nearby in the evenings and on weekends. At other times there is parking on Railway Street near the corner of Brunswick Street and the informal parking area there. Also on Moss Street or Barkly Street, as these streets offer longer parking times. Be sure to check the restriction signs on the streets when parking.
